As the founding partner of Ramsden, Marfice, Ealy & De Smet, LLP, Michael Ramsden has extensive experience in civil litigation, medical and professional malpractice defense, product liability defense, insurance law, personal injury defense, employment law, commercial and business litigation, and governmental tort and civil rights litigation. After over forty years of experience in trial and appellate law in state and federal courts, in both Idaho and Washington, Mike transitioned in 2021 to “Of Counsel” in anticipation of his well earned retirement, but he continues to provide invaluable mentoring and guidance to all of the lawyers at RME&D .

Mike has tried numerous personal injury, property damage, contract, tort and professional malpractice defense cases. Mike’s civil litigation experience covers an array of insurance and business related claims and he is recognized as one of the premier professional malpractice defense attorneys in the Northwest. Mike has spoken extensively on the subjects of professional malpractice, errors and omissions, risk management as well as other subjects related to civil litigation defense.
